Our Kiwanis club participates in a variety of projects throughout the year that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide. Additionally, we have speakers at our weekly meetings to explore topics of interest to the membership. We engage in a number of social activities to share experiences, talents and our collective interests. All represent great opportunities for service, friendships and personal growth.

Providing hope and building community through personal and financial support for families who experience the NICU.
Hospital Partnerships are key to advancing the mission of Today is a Good Day. Our goal is to partner with a hospital from the moment a family is admitted to the NICU. We aim to create a positive patient experience for families navigating the NICU journey. Each partnership is unique based upon the hospital’s needs and priorities.

Ride Hard Breathe Easy
Our mission is to alleviate the suffering of lung cancer patients and their caregivers by raising awareness, supporting early detection, assisting patients, and working to end the stigma associated with the disease.

Brandy Scombordi-Raghu, OD The Eye Institute at Drexel Director of Optometric Clinical Outreach, Assistant Professor, Pediatrics and Binocular Vision, School Vision Program, Salus at Drexel University, The Eye Institute
Dr Scombordi-Raghu oversees and assists with vision screenings at approximately 53 schools in Philadelphia and other school districts in Pennsylvania. As a part of the program, when a student fails a vision screening, the nurse sends home a note recommending them for an eye exam. If the parent can’t get the child an eye exam, a team from TEI goes to the school with the Big Red Bus, the University’s traveling eye clinic, to perform eye exams. Or they are bussed to TEI for care. After the exam, students are given two pairs of glasses; one to keep at school and the other to bring home with them.
